Iran’s monthly GDP grows 2.3%

TEHRAN- According to calculations by the Parliament Research Center, the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) at constant prices in Aban 1404 (October-November 2025) compared to the same month last year is estimated at 2.3 percent, and non-oil economic growth is estimated at 2.7 percent.

The Parliament Research Center has attempted to provide a computational infrastructure to estimate and present the country's economic growth on a monthly basis in the shortest possible time.

According to the latest statistics from the Central Bank in the first half of 1404 (March-September 2025), the country's GDP growth compared to the same period last year, including and excluding oil, was -0.6 percent and -0.8 percent, respectively.

According to the calculations of the Research Center, as part of the report "Monitoring the Real Sector of Iran's Economy: Estimating Monthly GDP (Aban 1404)," the growth of GDP at constant prices in Aban 1404 compared to the same month last year is estimated at 2.3 percent, and non-oil economic growth is estimated at 2.7 percent.

The results of the estimates show that in Aban 1404 compared to the same month last year, the value added of the "agriculture" group recorded a negative growth of 1.9 percent, the "oil" group a negative growth of 1.9 percent, the "industries and mining" group a growth of 2.4 percent, and the "services" group a growth of 3.7 percent.

Furthermore, the estimation of the final expenditure components shows that in Aban 1404 compared to the same month last year, private sector final consumption expenditure saw negative growth of 0.8 percent, government final consumption expenditure grew by 3.5 percent, gross fixed capital formation had negative growth of 7.9 percent, exports of goods and services grew by 8.5 percent, imports of goods and services grew by 3.4 percent, and GDP at market prices grew by three percent.
